PFC Levski Sofia showed their ruthless streak again to set up a third qualifying round tie against FK Bakı, scoring five times to confirm their progression at the expense of UE Sant Julià.
First-half treble
The Bulgarian champions scored all four of their first-leg goals in the second half but they were quicker out of the blocks this time around as Maryan Ognyanov struck twice before the interval with an effort from Hristo Yovov sandwiched in between. The visitors did have Ismail Isa Mustafa sent off on the stroke of half-time but it made little difference as substitutes Ivan Tsachev and Alexandar Kirov added further gloss after the break.
Young scorers
The 20-year-old striker Ognyanov had only managed three goals in 24 league games for the club but he added to his tally with goals after 23 and 40 minutes while Yovov interrupted his flow by making it 2-0 eleven minutes before the break. Mustafa's dismissal failed to halt the bandwagon as the replacements then took over goalscoring responsibilities. Tsachev slotted in number four with seven minutes remaining, and there was still time for a final flourish from 18-year-old Kirov.
