Midfield reinforcements
The 33-year-old has signed a one-year contract with MTK following his release by Israeli side Bnei Yehuda Tel-Aviv. Former Kispest Honvéd FC favourite Pisont will link up with Gábor Halmai at the Budapest club. Halmai, a 31-year-old midfield player, recently moved to MTK on a free transfer from another Israeli club, Hapoel Tel-Aviv.
Out of action
However, Halmai will be unavailable for MTK's UEFA Champions League second round qualifying matches after a stomach operation. Club captain Béla Illés will also miss the games, on 30 July and 6 August, because of a chest injury. Meanwhile, MTK have sold their international defender Zoltán Peto to MFC Sopron.
