Touch and go for Guerrero

José Paolo Guerrero could miss FC Bayern München's UEFA Champions League quarter-final first leg through injury.

Last-eight date
The 21-year-old forward has ruptured a thigh muscle, ruling him out of Bayern's forthcoming Bundesliga fixture at home against FC Hansa Rostock and casting doubt over his participation in the game at VfL Wolfsburg on 2 April. If the injury heals quickly, Guerrero is expected to return in time for the first leg of Bayern's quarter-final on 5/6 April, the draw for which is on Friday.

Striker crisis
Guerrero is the latest Bayern striker to become unavailable, increasing coach Felix Magath's worries ahead of a crucial spell for the four-times European Champion Clubs' Cup winners. Roy Makaay is sidelined with an identical problem while Roque Santa Cruz is lacking match fitness following a spell in his home country, Paraguay, due to the death of his brother in a car accident.
