• Cristiano Ronaldo has a formidable quarter-final record: 18 games, 20 goals. That is as many quarter-final goals as the next two best players combined! One is Lionel Messi, who has ten goals from 18 games.
• Nobody other than Ronaldo has scored more than his current 12 goals at this stage of a UEFA Champions League season (in 2013/14 and 2015/16 he had 13). The full season record is 17, set in 2013/14 by, you guessed it, Ronaldo.
• The Madrid forward has also found the net in his last nine UEFA Champions League games, equalling Ruud van Nistelrooy's record. Another goal in Turin would take him out in front as the first to register in ten straight matches at this level.

• Real Madrid won their 28th European Cup quarter-final tie last season, ten more than anyone else (Bayern have 18 such victories).
• Real Madrid are playing their 35th European Cup quarter-final tie and the first leg will be their 70th last-eight fixture – there was a replay in their 1961/62 tie with Juventus! No other team is above 30 ties or 60 matches.

• Sevilla are the 51st different club to play in the quarter-finals in the UEFA Champions League era.
• Sevilla are the eighth Spanish team to feature in the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals, equalling England's record.
• The 60-year gap between Sevilla's two European Cup quarter-final appearances is a record (the previous best was 49 for Tottenham Hotspur from 1961/62 to 2010/11 and Schalke from 1958/59 to 2007/08).
• Sevilla hope to become the 29th club to play in a UEFA Champions League semi-final (there were no semi-finals in 1992/93). They would be the seventh Spanish semi-finalists, taking them one clear of England.
• Sevilla aim to be the 74th different team to play in a European Cup semi-final. They would be the eighth different Spanish semi-finalist; England have had ten.

• Liverpool v Manchester City is the 11th one-nation quarter-final in the UEFA Champions League era, and the fifth involving two English sides. The previous three were Spanish, all featuring Atlético Madrid, and there have also been one each for France, Italy and Germany.
• Liverpool are equalling Atlético and Chelsea's record of playing in three one-nation UEFA Champions League quarter-finals, and could match both clubs' shared record of winning two.
• None of the previous ten teams to win a one-nation quarter-final in the UEFA Champions League have gone on to lift the trophy.
