Atlético leave it late, Higuaín stars for Juventus

Atlético struck two late goals to pull off a sensational comeback win on a night when Gonzalo Higuaín scored twice for Juventus, while Sevilla also prevailed and Leicester lost again.

Edinson Cavani took his recent tally to nine goals in six games as Paris won for the tenth time in eleven matches in all competitions.

Alavés 0-6 Barcelona (Luis Suárez 37 67, Neymar 40, Messi 59, Alexis og 63, Rakitić 65)
All three members of Barcelona's revered 'MSN' forward line were on the mark as Luis Enrique's men picked up their 12th victory in their last 16 outings in all competitions. The result was soured by Aleix Vidal suffering a dislocated ankle which has ruled him out for the rest of the season.

BENFICA v DORTMUND
Benfica 3-0 Arouca (Mitroglou 25 35, Carrillo 49)
Kostas Mitroglou made it 12 goals in as many games to put Benfica in control. Goalkeeper Ederson's 41st-minute dismissal did not halt their progress as André Carrillo struck for the first time since August to complete the scoring.

Darmstadt 2-1 Dortmund (Boyd 21, Antonio-Mirko Colak 67; Raphaël Guerreiro 44)
Up against rock-bottom Darmstadt, Dortmund suffered their first defeat since 26 November – a run of ten games, six of which they have drawn – despite Raphaël Guerreiro's first goal in nearly five months.

Ingolstadt 0-2 Bayern (Vidal 90, Robben 90+1)
Bayern left it late to rack up a tenth win in their most recent 11 fixtures, Arturo Vidal opening the scoring with his first goal since October. Manuel Neuer kept his 100th Bundesliga clean sheet for Bayern.

Arsenal 2-0 Hull (Alexis Sánchez 34 90+3pen)
The Gunners responded to back-to-back Premier League defeats with a routine win, Alexis Sánchez scoring his 16th and 17th top-flight goals of the season.

REAL MADRID v NAPOLI
Osasuna 1-3 Madrid (Sergio León 33; Ronaldo 24, Isco 62, Lucas Vázquez 90+3)
Madrid were made to work for the points against the Spanish Liga's bottom-placed side but – with the help of Cristiano Ronaldo's 14th league strike of the campaign – stayed clear at the head of the standings.

Napoli 2-0 Genoa (Zieliński 50, Giaccherini 68)
Emanuele Giaccherini tapped in his first league goal for Napoli as Maurizio Sarri's side extended their unbeaten run to 18 matches.

Defeat seemed to beckon for Atlético as they trailed 2-1 at home with just five minutes remaining, only for Yannick Carrasco and Antoine Griezmann to spark a thrilling comeback win in the final stages. Griezmann's ninth Liga effort this term brought the Colchoneros just their second triumph in seven games in all competitions.

MANCHESTER CITY v MONACO
Bournemouth 0-2 Man. City (Sterling 29, Mings og 69)
Raheem Sterling scored one and played a big part in the other as Josep Guardiola's side claimed a fourth successive win to rise to second in England. Gabriel Jesus suffered an early injury.

Monaco 5-0 Metz (Mbappé 7 20 50, Falcao 10 55)
Eighteen-year-old Kylian Mbappé struck his second senior hat-trick as Monaco won their fourth game on the bounce to maintain their place at the Ligue 1 summit.

PORTO v JUVENTUS
Guimarães 0-2 Porto (Soares 36, Diogo Jota 85)
Porto made it five straight Portuguese Liga wins thanks to Francisco Soares' fourth goal in his last three appearances and a late Diogo Jota effort; the Dragons remain a point behind frontrunners Benfica.

Cagliari 0-2 Juventus (Higuaín 37 47)
Juventus racked up their sixth consecutive victory in all competitions thanks to a goal either side of the half from Gonzalo Higuaín, the Argentina striker moving himself on to 18 in Serie A this term. The result restored the Bianconeri's seven-point cushion at the head of the table.

SEVILLA v LEICESTER
Las Palmas 0-1 Sevilla (Correa 80)
Joaquín Correa raced through on goal to bury his first Liga strike this term after goalkeeper Sergio Rico's long kick had been flicked on. That was enough to give Sevilla their first Liga victory in three attempts – and keep them two points behind second-placed Barcelona.

Swansea 2-0 Leicester (Mawson 36, Olsson 45+2)
The Foxes conceded twice in the first half and had no response after the break as they suffered a fifth consecutive reverse in the Premier League. Claudio Ranieri's side now lie 17th in the table, a point above the relegation places.
