Weekend round-up: Paris and Dortmund won by six, Atlético won by five, while Barcelona and Man. City had four-goal margins of victory as the group stage contenders tore into domestic opponents.

Hull 1-4 Arsenal (Snodgrass 79pen; Alexis Sánchez 17 83, Walcott 55, Xhaka 90+2)
Alexis Sánchez might have had a hat-trick, missing a penalty on 40 minutes after Jake Livermore was dismissed for handling in the box. Substitute Granit Xhaka's first goal for his new club capped a third successive league win for the Gunners.

Zug 0-1 Basel (Høegh 45)
Basel edged their way through to the third round of the Swiss Cup thanks to a narrow victory at fourth-tier Zug, Danish defender Daniel Høegh making the difference on the stroke of half-time.

Caen 0-6 Paris (Cavani 12 23pen 38 45+1, Lucas 67, Augustin 78)
Edinson Cavani bounced back from his missed chances against Arsenal to collect his first ever four-goal haul with Paris, hitting all of his efforts in the opening half. Unai Emery's side ended a stuttering run of three matches without victory in all competitions.

Ludogorets 3-1 Slavia Sofia (Moţi 12, Wanderson 44, Jonathan Cafú 75; Velkov 60)
The Bulgarian champions are unbeaten in seven games in all competitions, taking all three points against resurgent Slavia. Jonathan Cafú scored the third after making his mark in the 1-1 draw at Basel in midweek.

Napoli 3-1 Bologna (Callejón 14, Milik 67 78; Verdi 56)
José Callejón scored his fifth of the season and Arkadiusz Milik took his total to six – including two against Dynamo Kyiv in the week – as the Partenopei fought off Bologna, who ended the game with ten men. Napoli remain unbeaten this season.

Akhisar 0-2 Beşiktaş (Talisca 8, Rodallega 45+2og)
Beşiktaş, still unbeaten this term, are up to second – two points off leaders İstanbul Başakşehir – in the Turkish Super League. Talisca opened the scoring having struck his team's late winner against Benfica on Tuesday.

Dynamo Kyiv 0-1 Zorya (Opanasenko 90+3)
Yevhen Opanasenko's last-gasp effort means Dynamo have lost three of their last four games in all competitions. They are six points behind Ukrainian Premier League leaders Shakhtar Donetsk.

Leganés 1-5 Barcelona (Gabriel 80; Messi 15 55pen, Suárez 31, Neymar 44, Rafinha 64)
Promoted Leganés felt all three prongs of Barcelona's famous trident in the first half, Lionel Messi's second-half penalty taking his tally to five for the week, following his treble against Celtic. Gabriel's strike for the home side was the first goal the Spanish champions have conceded on the road this season.

Manchester City 4-0 Bournemouth (De Bruyne 15, Iheanacho 25, Sterling 48, Gündoğan 66)
İlkay Gundoğan, who made his City debut in the 4-0 defeat of Gladbach, scored his first for his new club as they made it eight wins from eight games under Josep Guardiola. Aleix García made his City debut, Nolito's late dismissal taking little gloss off the Sky Blues' second 4-0 success of the week.

Inverness 2-2 Celtic (King 28, Fisher 89; Rogic 17, Sinclair 34)
Celtic had four league wins from four this season and twice took the lead, but had to settle for a share of the spoils. They are nevertheless three points clear at the Scottish Premiership summit with a game in hand.

Mönchengladbach 4-1 Bremen (Hazard 11 17, Raffael 21pen 41; Gnabry 73 )
The game was won by half-time against point-less Bremen, Thorgan Hazard and Raffael both finding the net twice. Hazard then struck the post after the break, just missing out on taking his 2016/17 tally to seven goals from seven outings.

Atlético Madrid 5-0 Sporting Gijón (Griezmann 2 31, Gameiro 5, Torres 72 90+1pen)
Fernando Torres scored his first of the season as Atlético made it three wins in a row in all competitions. Diego Simeone's side have not conceded in four matches since a 1-1 draw in their opening fixture of the season.

Bayern München 3-1 Ingolstadt (Lewandowski 12, Xabi Alonso 50, Rafinha 84; Lezcano 8)
The German champions conceded their first goal in a competitive game under new coach Carlo Ancelotti but won regardless, Franck Ribéry setting up all three of their strikes, including Rafinha's first in three years.

Krasnodar 2-1 Rostov (Naldo 87, Smolov 90+4pen; César Navas 10)
Rostov looked to have bounced back from their chastening 5-0 loss to Bayern München on matchday one when César Navas gave them an early lead, but two late sucker-punches condemned them to a third league reverse in seven outings this season.

PSV 0-1 Feyenoord (Botteghin 82)
The hosts, beaten by Atlético Madrid in midweek, last lost two matches in a row in February/March 2015. Phillip Cocu's side now trail Feyenoord, the Eredivisie leaders, by five points.

Monaco 3-0 Rennes (Falcao 42, Lemar 90 90+2)
Fabinho's 100th Ligue 1 game for Monaco was marked by a seventh successive triumph in all competitions, captain Falcao scoring his first domestic goal of the season before Thomas Lemar struck twice in the closing stages.

Frankfurt 2-1 Leverkusen (Meier 53, Fabian 79; Hernández 60)
Javier Hernández scored his first of the season but had little to celebrate come full time, having hit the post with a late penalty. Leverkusen have lost both of their league away games this season by the same scoreline.

Krylya Sovetov 1-2 CSKA Moskva (Yatchenko 44; Golovin 7, Ignashevich 77)
The Army Men lie two points behind Russian pacesetters Spartak after a third straight Premier League win, defender Sergei Ignashevich grabbing his first goal of the campaign late on to seal the result.

Tottenham Hotspur 1-0 Sunderland (Kane 59)
Mauricio Pochettino's men moved third in England after Harry Kane side-footed in close to the hour mark, but the England forward later left the action with an apparent ankle problem – and Spurs also lost Eric Dier and Mousa Dembélé to injuries.

Borussia Dortmund 6-0 Darmstadt (Castro 7 78, Ramos 48, Pulišić 54, Rode 84, Emre Mor 88)
Against ten-man opponents, Dortmund won 6-0 for the second game in succession, following their UEFA Champions League trouncing of Legia Warszawa. Summer arrival Emre Mor, 19, scored his first goal for the club.

Espanyol 0-2 Real Madrid (James Rodríguez 45+2, Benzema 71)
Madrid recorded a Liga record-equalling 16th consecutive victory despite missing both Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale, James Rodríguez and Karim Benzema both grabbing their first goals of the season.

Legia Warszawa 2-3 Zagłębie (Czerwiński 50, Langil 57; Jach 17, Janus 35pen, Pazdan 71og)
Legia fought back from two goals down but slipped to a fourth Ekstraklasa defeat in five outings after Michał Pazdan's own goal, leaving the Polish champions in the bottom three.

Rio Ave 3-1 Sporting CP (Tarantini 29, Guedes 36, Gil Dias 43; Dost 82)
Sporting's run of four consecutive Liga wins came crashing to a halt in Vila do Conde, meaning that Jorge Jesus's troops will be knocked off the summit should either Benfica or Braga prevail in their meeting on Monday.

Leicester 3-0 Burnley (Slimani 45+1 48, Mee 78og)
A second 3-0 win in three days for the English champions represented a tremendous home debut for summer signing Islam Slimani, the former Sporting CP man scoring his first goals for his new club – both headers.

Horsens 0-2 København (Cornelius 16, Delaney 32)
Ståle Solbakken's team remain unbeaten in 16 games in all competitions this season and are now top of the Danish top flight following Brøndby's home defeat by Viborg. Andreas Cornelius has found the net in each of his last three appearances.

Tondela 0-0 Porto
Porto played out a first stalemate since October 2015 and have now won just one of their last four fixtures in all competitions.

Club Brugge 3-1 Eupen (Vossen 27pen 80pen, Denswil 64; Henry Onyekuru 9, Luis García 88pen)
One of his side's top marksmen as they took last season's Belgian title, Jelle Vossen opened his 2016/17 account with two penalties as Club Brugge ended a four-game wait for a victory.

Marseille 0-0 Lyon
Lyon are without a win in three Ligue 1 outings following a goalless stalemate at the Stade Vélodrome that featured 22 shots and none on target.

Inter 2-1 Juventus (Icardi 68, Perišić 78; Lichtsteiner 66)
Juve suffered their first Serie A defeat this term and find themselves a point off the summit after finishing second best in the Derby d'Italia. Stephan Lichtsteiner gave the champions the lead in Turin, but it lasted just two minutes as Inter responded strongly.

Eibar 1-1 Sevilla (Pedro León 64; Vietto 27)
The home side had their goalkeeper sent off in the first half, after Luciano Vietto had put Sevilla ahead, and had a second player dismissed in the closing stages, but still managed to hold Sevilla to a third draw in their last four games.

Rijeka 5-2 Dinamo Zagreb (Gavranović 1, Gorgon 33 54, Vešović 50 82; Soudani 82, Pavičić 86)
Dinamo missed the chance to leapfrog Croatian top-flight leaders Rijeka as they slumped to a heavy loss, their third successive reverse in all competitions.
