Galatasaray AŞ have added to their ranks with the capture of 2014 FIFA World Cup winner Lukas Podolski from Arsenal FC.

The German international spent the second half of 2014/15 on loan at FC Internazionale Milano but opted to join the Turkish champions on a three-year-deal after a reported €2.5m fee was agreed with the Gunners.

The 30-year-old has scored 48 goals in 125 caps but has surprisingly little UEFA Champions League experience. The former 1. FC Köln and FC Bayern München man has made just 25 appearances in the competition, scoring 11 goals. He will have the opportunity to add to those tallies with Cimbom, who enter the competition at the group stage.
