Olympiacos FC have secured the signature of Hernán Pérez from Villarreal CF on a three-and-a-half-year contract.
The winger, 24, finalised his move before the close of the January transfer window to become the second Paraguayan international signed by the UEFA Champions League hopefuls this winter after Nelson Valdez.
"I'm very happy to take this new step in my career," said Pérez, capped 20 times by his country. "I'm proud to be joining a very big team and hopefully I will do my best for them. My aim is to adjust rapidly and help my side win the Greek league and do well in the Champions League."
Pérez first moved to Europe from Club Libertad in 2009, joining Villarreal's reserve team. He was promoted to the senior side two years later and made his competitive debut in a UEFA Champions League meeting with SSC Napoli, going on to score six goals in 41 Liga outings for the Yellow Submarine.
Olympiacos will face Manchester United FC in the UEFA Champions League round of 16, hosting the first leg on 25 February.
