Hamstrung Iniesta out for three weeks

Andrés Iniesta could miss FC Barcelona's round of 16 first leg at Bayer 04 Leverkusen because of a hamstring injury, while Alexis Sánchez has a damaged collarbone.

FC Barcelona midfielder Andrés Iniesta is unlikely to feature in the holders' UEFA Champions League round of 16 opener against Bayer 04 Leverkusen next month because of a left hamstring tear sustained on Copa del Rey duty.

The 27-year-old suffered the injury during the first half of Wednesday night's 2-2 draw against Real Madrid CF and, following subsequent tests, was ruled out for up to three weeks, rendering him a doubt for the first leg at the Bay-Arena on 14 February.

Alexis Sánchez, meanwhile, is expected to be sidelined for around a fortnight after the winger injured his collarbone in the same game. Josep Guardiola's side will host Leverkusen in the return leg on 7 March.
