KRC Genk will be without defender Jeroen Simaeys for up to four weeks after the 26-year-old broke a toe in training on Wednesday.
The Belgian champions are sure to be missing the twice-capped international for their UEFA Champions League Group E game at Chelsea FC on 19 October, and the centre-back may well be absent for the return fixture on 1 November.
Genk have also lost forward Jelle Vossen (ankle) and defender Nadson (ankle) for similar month-long spells in recent weeks, while captain David Hubert is expected to be out for ten days with a stomach muscle problem. Genk have taken one point from their opening two Group E fixtures.
