FC Barcelona right-back Daniel Alves has put pen to paper on a contract extension that will keep him at the Camp Nou until the summer of 2015.

The 27-year-old Brazilian international, whose existing deal was due to expire at the end of next season, has won the UEFA Champions League and two Spanish Liga titles since joining Barcelona in 2008. He had made his name at Sevilla FC, twice lifting the UEFA Cup and also triumphing in the UEFA Super Cup.

Alves has scored ten goals in 89 Liga appearances for the Blaugrana. Having appeared in all but one of their matches en route to the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals, he has also helped Josep Guardiola's side set up a tie against FC Shakhtar Donetsk next month.
