FC Barcelona will have to cope without the injured Carles Puyol for the second leg of their UEFA Champions League round of 16 tie against Arsenal FC on Tuesday.
Josep Guardiola's side trail 2-1 after the opening instalment and will need to overcome that deficit without first-choice centre-backs Puyol and Gerard Piqué at the Camp Nou. While Piqué is suspended, Puyol misses out with a knee injury. "He again felt pain in his left knee after training today due to the tendonitis he's been suffering," read a statement on Barcelona's website. No further details have been given on how long Puyol, who has been out since 22 January, is expected to be absent.
