'Something new'
Rakojevic cited a desire to "try something new" as the reason for his resignation. A former coach of FK Kula, FK Buducnost Podgorica and the Yugoslavian Under-21 side, he added: "When I came to Zeta they were making their debut in the Prva savezna liga. Now Zeta are a strong club who have finished fifth and seventh in the last two seasons.
Fair play
"Everyone in Serbia and Montenegro now knows how good Zeta are for domestic competition and we now have five national-team players - Nenad and Bojan Brnovic are in the first team, and Branimir Petrovic, Milos Maric and Mitar Pekovic in the Under-21s," the 45-year-old coach said. "In both my seasons here we have also finished top of the fair play league, which is very important to me."
Playing career
Zeta president Rajo Bozovic said: "All I can do is thank Nikola Rakojevic for what he has done for the club." As a player, Rakojevic played over 600 matches for FK Sutjeska, his only club.
