Forward Francesco Totti became the oldest goalscorer in UEFA Champions League history with his strike at Manchester City FC on Tuesday night.
The AS Roma captain, who celebrated his 38th birthday on Saturday, found the net in the 23rd minute at the City of Manchester Stadium, surpassing Ryan Giggs's record. The former Manchester United FC midfielder was aged 37 years 290 days when he scored at SL Benfica on matchday one in 2011/12.
"I am proud to have achieved [the oldest goalscorer record], without any doubt, but I hope to carry on and not stop here," Totti told UEFA.com. "I've said before I am 38 but I don't feel it.
