Cypriot champions APOEL FC have signed Marios Neophytou and F.Y.R. Macedonia international Milan Stojanoski on two-year contracts as they look to strengthen their squad ahead of the UEFA Champions League next season.
European experience
Central defender Stojanoski has been brought in as a replacement for the outgoing Georgos Amanatides. The 31-year-old, who played nine games during FK Partizan's UEFA Champions League run last season, had two spells at the Belgrade side and spent a total of five seasons at the club.
Disappointing form
Cypriot international striker Neophytou, who is 27, had a disappointing season last year as he managed just four goals in 20 games as OFI Crete FC struggled to eleventh in the Hellenic National League.
Relishing the opportunity
But he is relishing the opportunity to lead the attack for his new club, saying: "It was a bad season for me [last year]. I was not given enough time to play, so I'm determined to show my value this season with APOEL."
