CABLE TV secures EURO 2004™ rights

Hong Kong Cable Television Limited has secured broadcast rights for UEFA EURO 2004™.

Hong Kong Cable Television Limited (CABLE TV) has secured broadcasting rights for UEFA EURO 2004™ in the special administrative region.

All 31 matches covered
CABLE TV will carry all 31 matches during the finals, which are being held in Portugal next summer. This is the third time CABLE TV will carry the tournament exclusively in Hong Kong.

'Comprehensive coverage'
"It is a recognition of CABLE TV’s experience in broadcasting and promoting top-notch sports events," said CABLE TV's director of international sports and promotion Musetta Wu. "Built on the experience we have amassed in packaging and the investment in production equipment in covering the FIFA World Cup last year, we are confident that we can offer to viewers the most comprehensive coverage of this important tournament next year."

Draw to be screened
CABLE TV has been screening the qualifying rounds of EURO 2004™ since October last year and will carry major matches in the remaining qualifying rounds on its Super Soccer Channel. On 30 November, CABLE TV will also broadcast the finals draw from the Pavilhão Atlântico in Lisbon, Portugal.
