014 - Full refereeing teams announced for three finals taking place in Kyiv and Lyon

2018 UEFA Champions League final

The UEFA Referees Committee has today announced that Milorad Mažić will referee the 2018 UEFA Champions League final between Real Madrid CF and Liverpool FC, to be played at the NSC Olimpiyskiy Stadium in Kyiv on Saturday 26 May at 20:45CET (21:45 local).

The 45 year-old Mažić, who is from Serbia, has been an international referee since 2009. This season, he has taken charge of four UEFA Champions League matches, as well as two UEFA Europa League encounters. He also refereed last year’s FIFA Confederations Cup Final between Chile and Germany.

At the final in Kyiv, Mažić will be assisted by his countrymen Milovan Ristić and Dalibor Djurdjević. The fourth official will be Clément Turpin from France, and the two additional assistant referees, Nenad Djokić and Danilo Grujić, are also from Serbia. A Serbian reserve assistant referee – Nemanja Petrović – completes the refereeing team.


2018 UEFA Europa League final

The UEFA Referees Committee also announced that Björn Kuipers will referee the 2018 UEFA Europa League final between Olympique de Marseille and Club Atlético de Madrid, to be played at the Stade de Lyon, France on Wednesday 16 May at 20:45CET.

Kuipers, who is from the Netherlands, has been an international referee since 2006. This season, the 45 year-old has officiated four UEFA Champions League matches this season. This will be the second UEFA Europa League final Kuipers has been in charge of, having refereed SL Benfica’s encounter with Chelsea FC in 2013.

He will be assisted by compatriots Sander van Roekel and Erwin Zeinstra at the final in Lyon. The fourth official, Szymon Marciniak, is from Poland, and the two additional assistant referees, Danny Makkelie and Paulus (Pol) van Boekel are both from the Netherlands. A Dutch reserve assistant referee – Mario Diks – completes the refereeing team.

2018 UEFA Women’s Champions League final

Jana Adámková was selected to referee the 2018 UEFA Women's Champions League final between VfL Wolfsburg and Olympique Lyonnais, to be played at the Valeriy Lobanovskiy Dynamo Stadium in Kyiv, Ukraine on Thursday 24 May at 18:00CET (19:00 local).

Adámková, who is from the Czech Republic, has been an international referee since 2007. This season, she has taken charge of three UEFA Women’s Champions League matches. The 40 year-old also officiated three matches at last summer’s UEFA Women’s EURO in the Netherlands.

In Kyiv, she will be assisted by Sian Massey from England and Croatia’s Sanja Rođak-Karšić. The fourth official will be Kateryna Monzul from Ukraine. The reserve official – Maryna Striletska is also from Ukraine.
